From Lappeenranta with Love: Wedding Weekend in Germany

Last weekend, I travelled to Germany to see two of my friends and classmates from Lappeenranta tie the knot! Almost four years after meeting, we celebrated the bride and groom with so many laughs you’d think not a day had passed since we all saw each other last. It was such a lovely experience, that I wanted to share some photos on my blog. Here we go!

The wedding took place in the small town of Dannenberg with a population of about 8,000, where the groom grew up and where his family lives today. Albeit it small and quiet, it was a wonderfully picturesque place to have an intimate wedding.

The bride rented out an adorable house for the girls to stay at, which is also where we all got ready for the ceremony. Just before leaving to the church, we all said cheers to the bride before putting her in her dress.

Isn’t she a stunning bride?!

After the ceremony, we made our way to the family home for a garden party and celebration of the newlyweds where they had their first dance, cut the cake, and took lots and lots of photos. We danced late into the night with the groom’s brother serving homemade cocktails.

The weather was absolutely perfect and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my weekend. Thank you and congratulations one more time to the lovely Aleksandra and Lasse on their special day!
